A Great Combined 4 day Show for Everyone

This year I had the honour to chair the 2011 Canadian National Havanese Specialty. It was held on the Saturday during a four day All Breed Show put on by the Markham Kennel Club who were wonderful, gracious hosts. On the Sunday HOLA held their Regional Specialty in the same venue. I believe a good time was had by all.

Well another year has gone by...

Well another year has gone by and the Havanese Fanciers of Canada Regional Specialty concluded on October 30th.  It was a great event with some great havanese.  Congratulations to all winners.  Results are now posted

The meet and greet was a lot of fun, and the dinner was relaxing and fun, inspite of our very very very slow service :-)

Our prize table was a thing of beauty and pictures will be up next week.  A big thank you to Janet Birdsall from Florida for her help in selecting and purchasing our prizes this year.

Next year is a very big year for BC as we will host both a National and Regional Specialty.  Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available and check out our links for pictures, results and donation thank you's.  We could not have done this without the help and generosity of our members and Havanese friends and owners.  We thank you all!

Personal Reflections of the 2010 Specialty

The Maritime coast. If you have never been, you missed a great opportunity, and if you have been, you know how wonderful it is. Down-home, outgoing, friendly Maritime hospitality can't be beat, the scenery is amazing and the food is awesome! Halifax, Nova Scotia, what a perfect setting for our 2010 Canadian National Specialty, our annual Havanese gathering.

The Havanese Nationals in Abbotsford B.C

The Havanese Nationals, from my prospective, was hectic. My mom said it would be busy....I thought it would be like any other dog show I have been to. It was fun though long but I realized why.

3rd Annual Show

A National Specialty is not a Specialty without the people showing up to show off their dogs and supporting the National Breed club.
