The Havanese Fanciers of Canada host a number of breed events through the year. These may be matches which are for fun and practice, breed boosters and supported entries to highlight the breed at all-breed shows, as well as hosting our own breed specialties. We host an annual national specialty, a special event just for Havanese. The National has been held from Vancouver to Halifax and many places in between. Similar but smaller scale than the National are regional specialties that are occasionally held in different individual regions of the country. Enjoying a specialty as a spectator or participant is a great way to to see many Havanese in one place and to meet other fanciers of the breed. November 14, 2011 - 18:12 — Regionals BCWell another year has gone by and the Havanese Fanciers of Canada Regional Specialty concluded on October 30th. It was a great event with some great havanese. The meet and greet was a lot of fun, and the dinner was relaxing and fun, inspite of our very very very slow service :-)
Our prize table was a thing of beauty and pictures will be up next week. A big thank you to Janet Birdsall from Florida for her help in selecting and purchasing our prizes this year.
Next year is a very big year for BC as we will host both a National and Regional Specialty.
